Louisville shuts out Michigan State, 57-44

Just comforted a very teary Michigan State fan in the hotel elevator. #MarchMadness indeed.

With Michigan State going down, this bracket is really opening up for Missouri. Oh wait…

Despite their previous monumental wins over the past decade, Michigan State became the first number one seed this season to be kicked out of the Sweet 16 during March Madness. As argued earlier in the night with a fellow tweeter, it’s not because Michigan State is a “bad” team, because they’re not, it’s because they played a horrible game. And the Twitter reaction proves that.

And we noted that a few weeks ago here.

Michigan state with 13 turnovers and 10 buckets. Draymond has five baskets. Same as the rest of the team combined. #nohelp

A new low: the 44 points and 28.6 FG pct are the worst ever for Michigan State in the Men's Basketball Championship #MarchMadness

Good for the Big East so far, but not too crazy about the possibility of Louisville again if we advance. Oh well, time to play ball. #mubb

What happens if Louisville gets farther than UK? Meltdown for cat fans.

Michigan State made 29.6 percent of its shots. For Louisville, Gorgui Dieng had five points, nine rebounds and seven blocks. Yes, seven.
