Denver Day Of Rock

Denver Day of Rock is the musical highlight of Memorial Day in Downtown Denver. It is one of the highly anticipated annual Denver summer concerts that feature a lot of bands that will be performing on multiple stages for a cause.

The first Denver Day of Rock had hit the stages on June 6, 2009 with two performance stages. One stage is for the Cherry Creek neighborhood and the other is for Downtown Denvers Theatre District. The concert was concluded in the evening by a finale at the Fillmore Auditorium. Denver Day of Rock aims to raise funds for charities for children and to help create awareness about them throughout Denver from to proceeds generated from sponsors and patrons.

In its second year, Denver Day of Rock featured twenty bands on four stages at the 16th Street Mall and made proceeds out of a hundred thousand spectators, which is ten times more than the expected attendance. Jason Vigil, The Epilogues, P-Nuckle, Five For Fighting, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, and Fishbone are among the performers that rocked the stages out.

Along with other Denver summer concerts, the mayor of Denver, with the people of the city, supports the entire concert as Denver Day of Rock braces up for its third year of live performance on stages. The third Denver Day of Rock will be held on the twentieth of May.

The third Denver Day of Rock will be adding a fifth stage to feature and mix a lot of performers and genres, such as rock, zydeco, ska, and country, like other Denver summer concerts. The stages will start from the Welton Street and will end up at the Skyline Park. The free concert will be on stage from 2:30pm until late 9:30pm. The finale will be ticketed, and the proceeds will go to the selected charities.

Denver Day of Rock 2011 will add more booths and bazaars to complete the set of Denver summer concerts. People of all ages are invited to enjoy listening to different artists and groups who are performing for the benefit of children in Denver, along with families, relatives and friends.
