What They Found In The Middle Of The Desert Using Google Earth Is Incredibly Freaky

Google Earth is probably the best thing to happen to alien hunting in the last 100 years. With a simple click of the mouse, users can explore far-flung places and look for signs of alien activity across the globe.

There’s usually not much to be found, but every once in a while, true believers get lucky and find what they consider to be compelling evidence.

Last week, UFO hunters using Google Earth found this bizarre-looking complex in the desert just outside of Cairo, Egypt.

The complex contains two large, pointed buildings and some mysterious structures in circular formations.

As you might imagine, there is a shortage of facts surrounding the purpose of these buildings, which means that speculation is now running rampant online.

Some argue that these buildings play a role in a government conspiracy.

Less dramatic theorists have pointed out that they could be part of a movie set, presumably for the upcoming Star Wars film.

Regardless of their purpose, it’s hard to deny the inherent freakiness of finding two odd-looking buildings in the middle of the desert.

She Was Trying To Dump Out Her Water Bottle, But Mother Nature Had Other Plans

I've done my fair share of international travel, but I haven't even begun to explore most of the United States.
Every state has its fair share of landmarks that stand out. At some of these sites, there are traditions that tourists have to check off their bucket lists. For example, in New York, tourists who make their way to the top of the Empire State Building get a rush from dropping pennies all the way down.

I’ve never had the opportunity to travel west, but what one tourist just did while visiting the Hoover Dam is officially on my bucket list. The woman in this video reached over the edge to dump water out of a bottle, and what happened totally blew her (and everyone else) away.

This is just weird.

I’m not sure what kind of wizardry went into the making of that video, but I’m loving every minute of it! I have to travel and try this out.

This Is Definitely Not What You Want To Happen When You’re Inspecting A Boat

Here's how I feel about large bodies of water:

And here's how I feel about people willingly diving into large bodies of water for extended periods of time:

So you can imagine my concern when I came across this video that was shot back in 1991 by a few divers inspecting a damaged boat.

Of course, the boat went ahead and sustained damage on the hull instead of literally any other part, which meant that it had to be inspected from the water. "We made the assumption that if the ship was tied up, the bridge wouldn't turn on the [propellers]," one of the divers explained. "We were wrong."

Oh, honey bunches of NO.

She Went To The Police About Being Raped…Now She Might Go To Jail For It!

While a British woman was on a five-day vacation in Dubai with a relative last month, she was the victim of a horrible attack.

The 25-year-old met a couple of British men at her hotel. These men allegedly lured her into a room and filmed themselves taking turns raping her. Her sexual assault was traumatic enough, but unfortunately, it only got worse from there.

When she went the police to report what happened, she was arrested and charged with having sex outside of marriage.

UFO Sightings Take Internet By Storm — Are They Being Covered Up?

Claims of UFOs around the world aren't exactly new, but seriously strange happenings are surrounding recent sightings in Turkey.

On November 27, people from all over the country began sharing pictures of an unexplained grouping of lights on Twitter with the hashtags #ufoattacttoturkey and #ufoattacktoturkey. It quickly became the top trending topic worldwide, but soon after, many posts, photos, and videos were supposedly removed from the social media site and YouTube. Many believe it's all part of a possible cover-up.

Hundreds posted about it in Turkey's biggest city, calling it an "attack," though nothing else occurred after the sighting.

However, It wasn't just limited to Istanbul -- the pictures came from all over the country.

This Poor Cat…Only In Eastern Europe. This Is Definitely Animal Cruelty!

Not to stereotype, but let’s be honest, there are a lot of crazy videos that come out of Eastern Europe. Granted, I’m sure an equal number of crazy videos are created in America and Western Europe. However, they don’t often get as much media traction as the ones from Russia and other former Soviet countries. Which is why when I came across the video below of a guy smoking cigarettes with his cat, I was hardly surprised…

How does he even get the cat to sit still for this?!

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzEy8z_IxxY?autoplay=0&start=83]

This is definitely a horrible case of animal cruelty. Animals can get lung cancer, too. And it’s not just from actually smoking themselves.

In fact, according to a study, cats who live in homes where someone smokes a pack of cigarettes or more every day are three times more likely to get cancer than cats in nonsmoking homes. Don’t ever subject your pets to this kind of cruelty.

Footage Of This Cigar-Shaped UFO Over Manchester Is Incredibly Clear, And So Freaky

Why is it that whenever anyone spots a UFO, their camera churns out a grainy video? It must be a law of physics that we’ve yet to discover. At any rate, the video below is not one of those. In fact, it’s startlingly clear.

This cigar-shaped object was spotted on a clear day over Manchester, England, back in 2011. The person filming was able to zoom in pretty tightly on the bizarre object. They were even able to make out some details. According to the video description, the object hovered for about 40 minutes before ascending out of sight.

That looks pretty real to me!

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3b09L3hmw5k?autoplay=0]

While I want to shout from the rooftops that we finally have an authentic UFO video, it’s important not to jump to any conclusions. In fact, because the video is so clear, we need to consider the possibility of it being a hoax.

A Dentist Once Wrote About A Condition That Caused People’s Teeth To Explode

We often associate sitting in the dentist’s chair with annoyance and pain, but dentists never get enough credit for making that experience much less painful than it actually could be.

Thomas Morris, a writer and avid researcher of medical history oddities, wrote a piece about the history of dental explosions that’ll make your skin crawl. (Yes, seriously.)

In the 19th century, a dentist by the name of W.H. Atkinson wrote about a bizarre condition that caused people’s teeth to explode in their mouths. (And you thought getting cavities filled was painful!)

In 1817, Atkinson recorded the case of a reverend in Springfield, Pennsylvania, who suffered from a painful toothache.

One morning, he heard a loud crack in his mouth that sounded “like a pistol shot.” After his tooth shattered into tiny pieces, the pain went away.

In 1871, a young woman’s tooth blew up from a similar affliction.

Some say the sound that came from her mouth was so loud that she went deaf for a few days after the fact.

No one is quite sure if this condition actually existed, but one of its causes could have been that severe tooth decay often leads to gas buildup at the root.

When the tooth is filled with too much gas, it explodes like a balloon.

Another theory is that two different metals used for fillings back then reacted to each other by producing hydrogen.

That could explain the bizarre explosions.

(via Thomas Morris on BBC | Unexplained Mysteries)

But these are only theories, of course. Most modern dentists have little faith that this syndrome was ever actually a thing. Did Atkinson really treat a man with an exploding tooth problem, or was this just part of a sophisticated ploy to get his patients to floss more? We may never know.
