At some of these sites, there are traditions that tourists have to check off their bucket lists. For example, in New York, tourists who make their way to the top of the Empire State Building get a rush from dropping pennies all the way down.
I’ve never had the opportunity to travel west, but what one tourist just did while visiting the Hoover Dam is officially on my bucket list. The woman in this video reached over the edge to dump water out of a bottle, and what happened totally blew her (and everyone else) away.

If you’re an animal lover, you’ve probably been following the incredible case of a little pup named Libre.
In fact, we here at ViralNova wrote about his outstanding recovery last month. The poor dog dealt with horrific abuse and neglect, which resulted in a painful skin condition and a level of malnutrition that almost killed him. Fortunately, Libre is a fighter and the teams from Speranza Animal Rescue and the Dillsburg Veterinary Center never gave up on the determined dog.
What really struck readers, however, was the fact that no charges were filed against the people who almost ended this animal’s life. Although it was abundantly clear that Libre had been abused, the Humane Society officer who handled the case said that she would not bring them to justice.
That’s why we’re so happy to bring you this update. According to LancasterOnline, District Attorney Craig Stedman of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, sought the suspension of Susan Martin’s appointment as a Humane Society police officer.
People were understandably outraged when Martin decided not to indict the breeder who willingly turned Libre over to the Lancaster SPCA in horrific condition.
Stedman was equally horrified that the woman who could’ve brought these abusers to justice chose not to do so. For that reason, he and his team filed a motion for her suspension. Five days ago, she was officially removed from her post.
“Our justice system has to have integrity,” Stedman explained in a press conference. “The animals have the right to have somebody who will fairly and competently investigate those cases and file charges in appropriate cases.”
Although Libre’s recovery is of the utmost importance in this situation, it’s critical that those who commit acts of animal abuse are punished accordingly.
All Libre has to worry about now is having way too much fun with his rescuer, best friend, and new mama, Janine Guido!

In Nanaimo, Canada, cops are looking to change that with “positive ticketing.” Since 2002, they have handed out over 6,000 tickets to youth, simply for being good citizens. Other police forces around the world have started similar programs, and to date, over a million positive tickets have been distributed in total.
Watch as these kids receive positive tickets from officers. It’s a small gesture, but the looks on their faces reveal just how much it means.

Instead of just saying “stop” or “no,” explain why you don’t like something in age-appropriate terms. Tell them that it hurts when they hit you or that the noise they’re making affects your concentration. This kind of dialogue helps develop kids’ empathy for others.
3. Give kids a choice between two things that they can do.
Instead of saying, “No bouncing the ball in the house,” provide a choice between two other locations. “You can bounce the ball in the backyard or in the driveway. Which would you like?” This often stops kids from responding in a rebellious way.
While a British woman was on a five-day vacation in Dubai with a relative last month, she was the victim of a horrible attack.
The 25-year-old met a couple of British men at her hotel. These men allegedly lured her into a room and filmed themselves taking turns raping her. Her sexual assault was traumatic enough, but unfortunately, it only got worse from there.
When she went the police to report what happened, she was arrested and charged with having sex outside of marriage.

For Paris, a nine-year-old Boxer, her unusual habit is a lot more environmentally friendly than most. While she goes out for walks, Paris likes to collect plastic bottles, cans, and pieces of trash. She then brings them back home with her and sorts the refuse into recycling bins.

Claims of UFOs around the world aren't exactly new, but seriously strange happenings are surrounding recent sightings in Turkey.
On November 27, people from all over the country began sharing pictures of an unexplained grouping of lights on Twitter with the hashtags #ufoattacttoturkey and #ufoattacktoturkey. It quickly became the top trending topic worldwide, but soon after, many posts, photos, and videos were supposedly removed from the social media site and YouTube. Many believe it's all part of a possible cover-up.
Hundreds posted about it in Turkey's biggest city, calling it an "attack," though nothing else occurred after the sighting.
However, It wasn't just limited to Istanbul -- the pictures came from all over the country.
