UFO Sightings Take Internet By Storm — Are They Being Covered Up?

Claims of UFOs around the world aren't exactly new, but seriously strange happenings are surrounding recent sightings in Turkey.

On November 27, people from all over the country began sharing pictures of an unexplained grouping of lights on Twitter with the hashtags #ufoattacttoturkey and #ufoattacktoturkey. It quickly became the top trending topic worldwide, but soon after, many posts, photos, and videos were supposedly removed from the social media site and YouTube. Many believe it's all part of a possible cover-up.

Hundreds posted about it in Turkey's biggest city, calling it an "attack," though nothing else occurred after the sighting.

However, It wasn't just limited to Istanbul -- the pictures came from all over the country.

Some were asking NASA to offer some kind of explanation for the strange lights, but none has been given so far.

دیده شدن شی ناشناخته در آسمان ترکیه که به یک سفینه فضایی شبیه است.#ufoattacttoturkey pic.twitter.com/wC14O3Rwvm
— Siavosh Bahman (@simekhardar) November 28, 2016
//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

An Astronaut Gave An Out-Of-This-World Tribute To Leonard Nimoy

                                            Live long and prosper.

Star Trek fans are still in mourning for Leonard Nimoy, the actor famous for his role as Spock, who died on Friday at the age of 83.

The beloved sci-fi character was known by the Vulcan “live long and prosper” hand gesture.

Fans, both famous and otherwise, have been using the gesture to pay tribute to Nimoy.

In a fitting extraterrestrial tribute to the late star, NASA Astronaut Terry Virts has tweeted a picture of the Vulcan gesture from the International Space Station, looking down at Nimoy’s birthplace of Boston.

It’s enough to make even Spock a little bit emotional.

‘Let’s get to it, folks!’ Desperate Dems recruit Joe Biden to gin up midterm excitement on Twitter

http://twitter.com/#!/Patriot_Musket/status/453176492797616128
He’s baaaaaaaaaaack! Well, sort of:
http://twitter.com/#!/TimJGraham/status/453180662582104064
Hot stuff!

The Democratic National Committee will start tweeting from @JoeBiden in an election-year push to benefit Democratic House and Senate candidates, the committee said on Monday.

“@JoeBiden will be another way for the Vice President to engage our supporters, spread the Democratic message and support our candidates heading into the midterm elections,” a DNC spokesperson told TIME Magazine, which first reported the news. http://time.com/51223/joe-biden-twitter-2014/

During a speech to the DNC in February, Biden said he and President Obama had an “obligation” to help Democrats in the midterm elections. He said he had committed to assist 120 races this cycle, and that the pair would raise money “to help make this viable.”

Here’s @JoeBiden‘s first tweet in well over a year:

Uncle Joe even signed it! Which means it’s totes legit. As legit as Uncle Joe can be, anyway.

The likelihood that a person uses the word “toxin” correlates strongly with how much Chemistry the person does *not* know

Here’s The Heartwarming Advice Lady Gaga Gave Taylor Swift

The stars had an adorable exchange on Twitter.

1. Lady Gaga is pretty much killing it right now.

NBC

She blew everyone away with her Sound of Music performance at the Oscars, she’s going to be in the next season of American Horror Story AND she got engaged to the very hunky Taylor Kinney.

2. So it’s no wonder that Taylor Swift took to Twitter to praise the superstar.

3. The next day Gaga herself responded to Taylor with this awesome bit of advice:

5. Gaga, we couldn’t agree more. Ovaries before brovaries, and all the rest will fall into place

#History of the #hashtag (Infographic)

How did the hashtag become the #hashtag?
Perhaps the defining icon of Web 2.0 and social media, the hashtag became the most obscure bit of punctuation to become ubiquitous.
Its modern incarnation has its roots in the decidedly old-school internet form of IRC — a chat technology that most… http://goo.gl/scTRsC #, #Hashtag, #Socialmedia, #Twitter
