Perish the thought, but it’s being reported that in 2009, Al Gore made an attempt to purchase Twitter:

Why didn’t Gore end up owning Twitter? Here’s one theory.

Ha!

Users speculated how Al Gore owning Twitter might have changed their Twitter experience:

What This Clever Dog Does Every Time She Goes For A Walk Is Awesome

Lots of pets have unusual habits. Some like to hide their owners’ socks. Others like to eat out of the litter box.

For Paris, a nine-year-old Boxer, her unusual habit is a lot more environmentally friendly than most. While she goes out for walks, Paris likes to collect plastic bottles, cans, and pieces of trash. She then brings them back home with her and sorts the refuse into recycling bins.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1TFJjkLlMA?autoplay=0]

What a clever pooch. We should all be a bit more like Paris, because let’s face it — she’s a whole lot more environmentally conscious than the rest of us.

Pic: ‘Arr you in?’: Obama fails at pirate meme

http://twitter.com/#!/BarackObama/status/248501257055121409
Oh, yes, he did, matey. Perhaps President Obama didn’t want Jim Messina to steal all the humiliating and creepy picture thunder?

Hey, genius, it’s talk like a pirate day.

Maybe the pirate is giving him an intel briefing? As we know, he usually skips those. Maybe this was a way to make him actually pay attention?

No such luck!

The pirate photo is also from 2009. http://t.co/pmHpeZ9R

Obamacare error rate estimated at 10 percent of applications submitted

http://twitter.com/#!/sarahkliff/status/409040987369902080
You might remember that the Washington Post’s Sarah Kliff was one of the reporters on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services conference call Monday. She asked four times (without an answer) what the 834 transmission error rate was. “834” forms contain the personal information for individuals who have signed up for health insurance and the details on their plan choices; in other words, the information insurers need to insure them.

Today, an administration official revealed to The New Republic’s Jonathan Cohn that the error rate is now estimated at 10 percent, down from 25 percent in October.
http://twitter.com/#!/jamiedupree/status/409053299527393280
Cohn writes:
http://twitter.com/#!/gabrielmalor/status/408981140197105664
http://twitter.com/#!/JonWalkerDC/status/408980881370398720
Yeah, it is pretty bad. At best, an error rate of one in ten files should amount to hundreds of thousands of erroneous files, which could lead to some nasty surprises as Americans head to the doctor in January with their new Obamacare plans.

Wasn’t this all supposed to have been fixed by now?

UFO Sightings Take Internet By Storm — Are They Being Covered Up?

Claims of UFOs around the world aren't exactly new, but seriously strange happenings are surrounding recent sightings in Turkey.

On November 27, people from all over the country began sharing pictures of an unexplained grouping of lights on Twitter with the hashtags #ufoattacttoturkey and #ufoattacktoturkey. It quickly became the top trending topic worldwide, but soon after, many posts, photos, and videos were supposedly removed from the social media site and YouTube. Many believe it's all part of a possible cover-up.

Hundreds posted about it in Turkey's biggest city, calling it an "attack," though nothing else occurred after the sighting.

However, It wasn't just limited to Istanbul -- the pictures came from all over the country.
